High humidity, aggressive chemicals and fumes are common in facilities such as wastewater treatment and recycling plants and can affect the life of common materials. Therefore, luminaires with high protection (IP66/IP67), chemical resistance and anti-corrosion treatment are used here to ensure reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions. Warehouses for fuel and other strategic raw materials often operate in environments with dust particles and high humidity, which places emphasis on the luminaires' resistance to corrosion, vibration and temperature fluctuations. Luminaires must be designed for long life and minimal service requirements, as replacing them in these environments can be time and cost intensive. In hospitals, lighting must not only meet safety standards but also provide maximum visual comfort for patients and medical staff. Requirements for high colour rendering index (CRI), low glare (UGR) and flicker-free luminous flux are essential, especially in operating theatres, laboratories and diagnostic departments. Luminaires must also be disinfectant-resistant and easily washable to ensure maximum hygiene. Another key factor throughout the public sector is the difficulty of maintaining and replacing luminaires. Luminaires are often installed in difficult to access locations, high-rise structures or special areas where servicing is challenging and costly in terms of time and money. Therefore, lighting systems with long life, low energy consumption and minimal service requirements are preferred.
